Cheerleading League Rules

  1. Cheerleading is a commitment to a team; the squad depends on you and attendance needs to be a priority. If you need to miss a practice or game, communicate that with your coaches. You must practice to participate in games, FNL, showcases, and competitions.

  1. Cheerleaders will be expected to follow league and team rules and guidelines. Failure to do so may result in sitting out a game, or being removed from the team.

  1. Cheerleaders are students first, as a league we expect the students’ academics to come first. If your child needs to miss a practice to prioritize academics, please communicate with your coaches.

  1. Cheerleaders must be able to follow directions and work as a team. We will NOT tolerate bullying or disrespect on any team. This will be address by the coaches of the cheerleader, parents, and cheer director immediately if there is an issue.

  1. Be respectful: respect your teammates, your coaches, the fans, the refs, and properties we participate at.

  1. Everyone will clean up after themselves and practice and at games.

  1. Parents must sign up on the SPOND app and participate in the requested info. This will be the MAIN source of communication between you and your coaches.

  1. Cheerleaders are expected to show up on time, in practice wear, hair up, and having gone to the potty. Please respect our coaches time as they are volunteers and will start practice at the designated time to ensure your cheerleader gets the most out of each practice. If you are running late again communicate!

  1. Be sure to respect your coaches. Be sure to address any issues with a coach directly or with the cheer director. Do not trash talk the coaches to the other parents, we are all adults and need to handle things maturely.

  1. HAVE FUN!!! Remember we are here to have fun, team bond, and learn the fundamentals of cheerleading!!!
